about us
We are friendly and long established Romford based Youth Football Club which was formed in 1968. We currently play our home games at Rise Park Romford, our club colours are Yellow and Black and all our teams play in the Chelmsford Youth Football League www.cyfl.org.uk.
Our club members have been drawn from all over Havering and surrounding areas, as have our managers, who have been with the club for many years and have guided teams from early 7-a-side mini soccer up to advanced 11-a-side teams.
We are now looking to move the club on to another level by adding Teams and managers of all ages and abilities, to add to the clubs current crop of teams. We are also interested in forming girl's teams to give football to as many as possible and to take advantage of the growing interest in girl's football.
There is a good social side to the club such as end of season presentation nights and social events etc. What we want is everyone to be part of the club and to have input and ideas on how the club is run. It is not just players and managers that are important but anyone who wishes to get involved in the clubs activities. Our aim is to give children of all ages and abilities the chance to play football, to keep fit, make new friends and enjoy playing without pressure. Countless times over the years we have heard children and parents express how they have left their previous club/team because it stopped becoming fun, we all want to win, but if its not fun kids lose interest and some don't come back. As a club it is our priority is to try to make it fun especially for the younger teams and we hope the kids enjoy their time at our club.
So if your son/daughter would like to join one of our teams or you are interested in managing or starting a team (male or female managers welcome), or maybe you just want to get involved in helping the club in general, please contact us a.s.a.p, we will give you all the help and support you require.
Come and join our club you will be very welcome.
